Sustainability Strategy

We developed our 2022-2025 sustainability strategy in 2021. The question of how Van Leeuwen can create value in sustainable ways, now and in the future, is the key focus of this strategy. The strategy focuses on four themes: Climate Action, People, Growth, and Partners & Suppliers. We make our sustainability objectives measurable as much as possible; we consider the entire value chain in this respect.

In line with the UN Agenda
The aforementioned themes from our sustainability strategy are in line with the goals of the UN Agenda 2030. We selected seven (of the seventeen) UN sustainable development goals (SDGs). We are working on these seven goals first. They are as follows: Good Health and Well-being, Gender Equality, Affordable and Clean Energy, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action and Partnerships with relevant parties to work on/achieve these goals.

The longer term
We will of course continue to devote efforts to a healthy future for new generations after 2025. We have developed a roadmap for the longer term. This way we steadily work toward the next milestone. Right now, our key focus is on CO2 reduction. In 2024, we have embedded sustainability in our business operations. In 2025, we aim to join the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This is a partnership between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute and the World Wide Fund for Nature. Since 2015, more than 1,000 companies have joined this initiative to enable them to set scientifically supported climate targets.

Zrównoważony rozwój

Strategia zrównoważonego rozwoju

W 2021 roku opracowaliśmy naszą strategię zrównoważonego rozwoju na lata 2022–2025. Kluczowym punktem tej strategii jest pytanie, w jaki sposób Van Leeuwen może tworzyć wartość w zrównoważony sposób, teraz i w przyszłości. Strategia koncentruje się na czterech tematach: działaniach na rzecz klimatu, ludziach, wzroście oraz partnerach i dostawcach. Staramy się, aby nasze cele w zakresie zrównoważonego rozwoju były mierzalne w jak największym stopniu; w tym kontekście uwzględniamy cały łańcuch wartości.

W jednej linii z agendą ONZ
Powyższe tematy z naszej strategii zrównoważonego rozwoju są zgodne z celami Agendy ONZ 2030. Wybraliśmy siedem (spośród siedemnastu) celów zrównoważonego rozwoju ONZ (SDGs). W pierwszej kolejności pracujemy nad tymi siedmioma celami. Są to: dobre zdrowie i dobrostan, równość płci, przystępna cenowo i czysta energia, godna praca i wzrost gospodarczy, odpowiedzialna konsumpcja i produkcja, działania na rzecz klimatu oraz partnerstwa z odpowiednimi stronami w celu realizacji tych celów.

Cel długoterminowy
Oczywiście będziemy nadal poświęcać wysiłki na rzecz zdrowej przyszłości dla nowych pokoleń po 2025 roku. Opracowaliśmy plan działania na dłuższą metę. W ten sposób konsekwentnie dążymy do osiągnięcia kolejnego kamienia milowego. Obecnie naszym głównym celem jest redukcja emisji CO22  ... Od 2015 roku ponad 1000 firm przyłączyło się do tej inicjatywy, aby umożliwić im wyznaczanie celów klimatycznych popartych badaniami naukowymi.
